Steps for Acknowledging and Clearing Alarms
A user can acknowledge and clear the alarms from the Alarms grid view using the context menu “Acknowledge” and “Clear”.
Acknowledge alarms from Alarms grid view
- Only the owner of an alarm can Acknowledge the alarm. The following are the steps to Assign Owner to the alarm.
- Locate the node for which you want to acknowledge the alarm (using Filter option in the Alarms grid view). In StreetMan, the field Device ID refers to Echelon’s Node Number. So, as shown in the below image, you can search using the Device ID filter available in the Alarms grid.
- Once you have located the node, right click and select Assign Owner.
- In the Assign Owner window, from the drop-down, choose the owner and click on the Assign Owner button.
- If you want to Assign Owner to multiple alarms, press and hold down Ctrl key, and click on each required alarm. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
- Once the Owner is assigned successfully, right click on the required alarm(s) and select Acknowledge.
- Click on OK in the confirmation window.
Clear alarms from Alarms grid view
- Once you have acknowledged an alarm, the option “Acknowledge” will get disabled from the context menu.
- To clear an alarm, select the required alarm(s), right click, and select Clear from the menu.
- Click on OK in the confirmation window.
- In the Annotation window, provide the Annotation message and click on Apply button.
- If you want to Clear multiple alarms, press and hold down Ctrl key, and click on each required alarm. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4.
